International Guests were:

Men's Choir - Terra Mea, Sardinia

The choir Terra Mea (literally My Land) performed typical Sardinian songs showcasing their polyphonic style.  They sang in a close circle, a solo performer leading the melody with the choir as an accompanying chorus.  The unique sound of their quartet was particularly remarkable and a truly moving experience for the audience.

Song Troupe - Kolot Midbar, Israel

The mixed troupe of 20 singers under the Direction of Ilan Gilboa, Kolot Midbar gave a very varied series of concerts, performing original Hebrew songs as well as a number of familiar English standards.  Their surprise rendition of the Sisters' classic 'Postadila Baba' delighted the Bulgarian audience!

Folk Duo - Ged & Andrew, UK

It was a welcome return for Ged & Andrew after their terrific Festival debut last year.  Their performances of traditional English acoustic folk music culminated in an excellent set in Sandanski, where they were in great form, performing their interpretation of a series of classic folk songs.

Bob & Roy Gough, UK

Again, Sandanski was a highlight for Bob in demonstrating the varied sounds of the Aboriginal Yidaki or Didgeridoo, making use of the PA to great effect; his father, Roy, was most inventive in his rhythms on the traditional 'music sticks'.

and, of course, the Trio Bisserov Sisters and Family orchestra were as professional as ever!

A country-wide power cut did not deter the International performers and the concert went ahead acoustically!  Ged & Andrew, whose guitar and vocals would usually demand amplification, demonstrated professionalism by bringing their performance to the audience and gave an intimate concert!  The choirs had strength in numbers and Bob required a bit of extra breath!
